I absolutely ADORE the black backgrounds in this book. The mosaic style is so fun to color and beautiful once completed. I used to fill in the lines between the pieces with a gel pen or marker. I didn't mind (the process is quite relaxing); but this looks so much cleaner. I'm a color outside the lines kind of gal, so with the lines filled in, they stay straight. Also, since there is a black line, any marker bleeding doesn't show. I took this along on a mini road trip and it helped me pass the time (I wasn't driving). :-)
