This little guy is definitely travel-sized! I used it on quite a few sweaters of cashmere and wool recently. To get the bigger "pills" and lint off of the wool ones, it took a little bit of pressure which made me nervous, but it didn't rip holes in them. It is low power and not too loud. The front compartment can be a little hard to keep on the device, which was a little bit annoying. Our time was sweet, but it ended when I attempted to remove some burns on a rug from a curling iron. I bent the front cage pretty easily and the rotating blade on the inside cut the cage on the outside, resulting in a big hole. This is completely my fault. I should have never expected this tiny little machine to be able to cut through what was essentially hardened plastic. I would buy again, but I think I'll get a stronger one next time. This thing works great for de-fuzzing and de-pilling clothes. I actually used it on my sofa where my cat has made little pulls in the fabric and it worked great for that. I also used it to soften/ shave down an irritating tag corner inside some jeans and it really helped. Overall it works really great, the only down side is the size. I think for everyday use at home a larger one that covers more area to work faster would be great, but obviously this is ideal for traveling. If you don't own a fabric shaver yet, you really need to get one- I can't believe I went so many years without one of these! It works, but doing any real sort of defuzzing with this thing is so slow. Slower than molasses in winter. Slower than a turtle in a drag race. Slower than a turtle in a drag race covered in molasses in winter.I had a little knit peacoat that had gotten pretty pilled up, and honestly it took two and a half hours to do a proper job on ONE sleeve. Of a small woman's coat. One. Sleeve. And it's not like I'm unable to properly work the thing or had the world's most pilled jacket (I'd say it would be like a 7,5 out of 10 on the fuzzball scale) but man, Mozart wrote symphonies faster than I finished that jacket. If you only have little tiny areas to do, then you can probably get away with this, but honestly I can't imagine there aren't better shavers at similar prices that'd get the job done better and faster. This unit was an 'exact item' (brand and all) replacement for my former trimmer that lasted for--geez!--probably 20 years +. The size is right, it does a great job and you never know when you need to trim the fuzz off a tie, collar or a jacket. It remains accessible and handy in my closet and goes on the road with me. Recommended.Overall, Product, price, packaging & shipping were all pretty good. Battery life isn't very long. Gets most of the 'bubbled fuzzy's' off of material but not 100%.This fabric shaver is best for cotton and fabrics with small pills - yet not so effective with thicker wool materials. It doesn't get all of them but it definitely significantly improves the look of those super pilly pieces you want to keep alive!I recommend the Laundress comb for thick wool, it's really a satisfying experience combing your blankets or sweaters ^_^ I like it much better than the Soapstone, which is more like a brush... I hardly let it touch my fabrics after using the Laundress. And vice versa, the laundress (and the soapstone too) is too rugged for delicate fabrics. The info listed on the webpage is incorrect and shows in the "From the Manufacturer" section pictures of the full size model. Also in "Product Information" the specs refer to the full size model. Some of the Q&A answers also refer to the full-size model which makes it very confusing for someone looking for the smaller travel-size version. THIS TRAVEL SIZE model is actually only 3.75" tall with a shaver head of 1.25" across making it perfect for traveling or doing small jobs. I bought this specifically to remove the pills off my wool socks, which I have a lot of, socks that is. This is perfect for doing socks, easy to handle and manipulate. It does a great job -- you just need to learn how to use it with a light touch. It's a very effective little tool.Rey hard to lift lint, you have to push hard. Unlike the first one, but same brandThe first one I gave it to my sister, this one for me bcoz it’s smaller than the first orderLa compre porque la uso una influencer y ps si le sirvió, peroooo a mi no jajaja no tiene potencia realmente, y los agujeros no permiten que entren bien las bolitas de las pelusas, entonces, creo existen ya otras en el mercado recargables y realmente funcionales. Me funciono perfecto y el tamaño es justo para llevarla en tus viajes funciona muy bien y la bateria le dura mucho, la recomiendo.I have never been able to successfully shave lint off of anything with this product, no matter the fabric type or amount of effort I put in. I have had success with other versions in past, but this one is inferior.
