This book far exceeded my expectations! I was thinking it would be more appropriate for older kids, but I’m sure that my 4.5 yr old would get a ton of use out of this, and that my 2 yr old would enjoy having one, too (mostly just because his brother does). But what’s great is that I think these would entertain kids up to 8th grade, as well. The author does a great job of spanning a wide range of ages and interests.The educational info also spans a variety of topics: culture, history, nature. There are prompts on many pages to color or draw, record parts of your trip, and even blank pages in the back that would be great for long waits at train/plane stations or restaurants.And, I have to say, this would be great even if you don’t have a trip planned right away but want to learn more about the UK. It would be great to have it before your trip to drum up some excitement!
