I bought this for my boyfriend who can be picky on his cups. The lid is secure yet easy to open and close to take a drink. Can be tipped any direction and wont leak. Great quality metal that can be hand washed or in the dishwasher. Etched design is exquisite. My boy friend took ice water with him to work in the morning a 6am the cup was left in his car and it still had ice at 3pm, it had been a 90 plus degree day. I was impressed! Its great for coffee too!I am a big fan of the portable insulated coffee/tea/water cup. I let the gasket of my Bodum cup go down the disposal so had to get a new one and Bodum doesn't seem to make them anymore so I had to go shopping. I liked the way this one looked and it had good reviews so I tried it. It is a little work of art--absolutely beautiful and a delight to hold. I bought it because it is made with a stainless steel interior--all the ones I've had before said stainless but were not stainless on the inside and who knows what kind of metal was really in there? But this one says stainless and it looks like stainless to me.As for its performance, it does keep beverages scalding hot for quite a while--longer than my commute I'm afraid and so I would not be sipping out of this right away in the car. But, that is great once you get to work because it will still be hot. I use these cups for a different reason actually. I am not a fan of super hot or super lukewarm. I like it just off the hot scale but not where it has become like bathwater. Sort of like hot enough to still be HOT without burning your tongue. And hot enough to still taste good. But I also enjoy those few degrees right above WARM as it naturally cools down. So, I use these cups more like a thermos to pour out a little at a time into a cup. I drink that and pour a little bit more. This cup will keep the temperature just right for hours. I usually finish it off long before it cools off too much and go make some more--tea usually. I have put water in also at that just right spot below ice cold but well above bathwater. It lasts like this perfectly even in our still hot Texas weather while I'm driving around and is a joy to sip.So, I've praised the cup and do recommend them. But, because of the way I use it, I must add that it's not really made to be a pourable "thermos" type cup. It's designed for a very smooth sip--perfectly designed for that. It does leak a little when I pour it out into a cup. But I already love it so much that I put up with this minor inconvenience and just put it on a napkin or towel at my desk. If I do let tea sit a long time, it gets to a perfect sipping temperature and then I finish it off like that.I even enjoy washing it because it is just so well designed. I meant to write a review right away once I unpacked it and saw what a thing of beauty it really was. I kept trying to think of how I would describe it so you might get some idea. I procrastinated though and am embarrassed they had to ask for my feedback a number of days after my purchase. So, I hope my review does it justice and you might consider it as you wander aimlessly through the Amazon aisles :)I do think I might try their other cup which is for coffee and might be good for pouring! But I'll never give this one up. I may have to have more than one of these.I first bought this cup in 2019 and loved it. My son liked it so much that he stole mine, so I bought another, but the first one is still going strong 2 years later. It's not the best insulated cup I've ever seen, but it keeps drinks fairly hot/cold for hours. Iced tea packed in the morning still has ice in it at lunch time, coffee is still hot (though not scalding). It's also good looking, fits in cup holders, and doesn't leak at all, as long as the lid is closed.Update: Black coating on second cup has started to peel around the rim. Still functional but looks kinda icky. Subtracted only one star since it lasted a year before this happened.I was hesitant at first to buy something with minimal ratings and reviews, but I went for it since the majority of them were positive... and man was I glad I bought it. I'm a huge coffee guy. Drink it everyday. Being able to count on your to-go thermos to not spill when you're in a rush going to work, or wherever it may be, it a HUGE plus. It's nicely packaged and even comes with it's certificate of authenticity and that it's been thoroughly checked. Here are a few key points:1.) It's a nice metallic finish with a grooved surface and feels good in your hands.2.) While drinking, I'll have to say it's a good smooth flow out of it and the mouth piece is perfectly made to drink out of. The TRITON plastic they use feels good on the lips and feels/looks of high quality. I'd highly recommend it to anyone else. I may even buy another one in the future for a family member.3.) The mug has a rubber ring at the bottom of it, so when putting down it doesn't make that metal *clank* noise when put it on a table. Not a make or break point, but it's something I liked.(NOTE: I did contact the seller (and they respond VERY fast, like within a couple hours to an hour fast) about the mouth pieces air-hole to let the air out while drinking wasn't punched out and they resent another one but it was the same thing. I believe that that's just how they make them. BUT even though it doesn't have it it still pours out quite nicely, no problem and I would still highly recommend it because of all that I mentioned.)I really like this travel mug! It keeps the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold, plus the black textured one is sleek. The only issue I have with it is the lid: I don’t really like the fact that it’s see through (so anyone can see the mess as you drink it) and the lip part is too far from the drinking hole for me, but those are not the biggest issues I have with it. I think there may have been a malfunction with the manufacturing of it because the small hole that is supposed to help vent while you’re drinking it is completely sealed. Now, I see that they tried to punch that hole through but it’s not. I have had it since November and I tolerated it, but honestly the lid started to become an issue with me because of the problems mentioned above. Other than that, it’s great.Great replacement coffee tumbler to replace my old favorite Starbucks double wall stainless steel tumbler that I lostI like the cup alot but expected cup to keep liquid hot for longer for the price.I lost my original mug and tried five others in an effort to replace and upgrade it. I have purchased the Leidfor again and this is the best decision. It keeps hot coffee hot; the cup remains cool to the touch; the “spout” pours smooth and even - easy to sip and drink; and it seals perfectly for travel. A great travel mug!I’ve tried a lot of different travel mugs but by far this mug is the best for leak proof, cleaning, not burning your mouth because of the clear lid and it’s very stylish. 100% happy with my purchase..thank you ?I bought this because I was sick of my Yeti mug leaking all over my truck. This thing is LEAK-PROOF. I can store it upside down, sideways, and shake the life out of it and nothing leaks. It keeps my coffee hot for about 6 hours, sometimes longer. To the point that I actually have to leave the top open for a half hour or so to cool my coffee down enough to actually drink it.It's incredibly durable. My ability to not drop things is zero and I have dropped this from various heights and onto multiple surfaces. I even dropped it from 4 feet onto the pavement and not a single dent occured. The black does scrape away a little bit but it takes a pretty significant blow to damage this thing. It's super cute and works better than it claims.I highly recommend it.I was hesitant to spend so much money on a brand I didn't recognize but I'm happy I did and I will recommend this to friends and family. After only 5 months of use and cleaning it this is what it looks like. We used it around once a month.I received another mug (yeti) at the same time, that I use way more and it’s still in mint condition. But this one all the paint is chipping away and look awful. I don’t recommend it. Zero star if I could.Maintains heat for hours, totally leakproof, nice large opening for drinking, and a separate tiny airhole so coffee flows well. I got this as a present for my husband, and he's really happy with it.I use this mug for my early morning canoe rides, often 2 hours long. My coffee is just as hot at the end as at the beginning. I do prepare it by warming it with boiling water first, I also warm my cream. This mug does a way better job than any I have tried before. Thanks!
