only used a few times so far, but appears to be a quality, durable bag. i like that it has large side pockets on both ends, as well as a partition which can be hooked to a loop to divide the main compartment in two, or easily taken down if you want a larger contiguous space - for a bag this size, it's nice to have that option, rather than have everything just mixing together and getting jostled around when traveling, and the side pockets hold a good amount, to help keep things organized. the backpack type straps are an added bonus and a nice feature to have. the heavy weight of the material is a slight downside for me; it appears that it will be extremely durable, but maybe moreso than i need, and a lighter material would make the bag a little easier to carry when full. Also a little pricey, although i know eagle creek makes nice products, and this bag does appear to be very high quality, so i guess you get what you pay for.My sons used this for a 10 day touring trip. They were able to fit everything they needed in this bag plus more (they over packed) and use as a carry-on. No complaints of carrying it on their backs when we were moving from one place to the next. It is made well and seems very sturdy. We also used it pack my son up to go to college. I do not regret my purchase.Got this bag for a trip to Ireland where we'd be staying in a different hotel each night and sharing a small car with 3 others. Lots of packing, unpacking, carrying in and out of small inns, and stuffing into the trunk of a small car. Zipper quality is great. Compression straps in just the right places. Top and bottom pockets ample to hold 2 pairs of shoes each. Filled main compartment with packing cubes. Total loaded bag weight was 35 lbs, and felt very dense. Zip-away shoulder straps useful for stowing as checked airline baggage, then used the shoulder straps as primary carry mode in and about the small towns. Kudos to the designer...Durable and good lookingI decided it was time to move on from my Eagle Creek load hauler backpack which I've had for many years and has been my favorite go-to bag for a long time. This bag is similar to the load hauler but the texture of the bag makes it look cheap and shiny. The fabric though durable, does not provide the bag with the structure that I liked with the load hauler. Instead, this bag will warp into whatever shape is inside of it and provides little protection for its cargo. Also, because of the waterproof material, if dirt or liquid get onto this bag it's going to get onto your clothing as it has nowhere else to go. It's an all right bag but definitely not an upgrade from the original load hauler.Good capacity and easy to lock everything down so nothing slides around. But it is made of a funky, shiny, plasticy material that looks cheap and I will have to see how well it holds up. Also the straps are great if you want to wear it as a backpack (why would you do that?) but awkward if you want to use them to just carry it like a normal weekend bag.Love this bag!! Went w 60L over the 35L. Any bigger and it would have been too big for air travel and the straps that it comes with, imo. Any smaller would’ve been a weekend bag only for me. I packed 5 days of clothes; toiletries; a pair of low boots; sandals and still had a bit of room in this bag. This is not a true hiking backpack but it makes taking a large-ish bag to and from airports and hotels a snap, all while keeping hands free. I like the rubberized coating which should provide some rain resistance. They didn’t have the green I wanted in stock, so I got the orange/red in a pinch. It actually looks really nice and I will never lose this bag LOL!!I like to travel.I like bringing JUST THE RIGHT GEAR.Right size, material, look.I always use Travel Cubes. Now that you know this about me, you can make sense of my review:What I love:The color: (You got to see it in original to appreciate it.)The size: (90l. gets me through a week without missing anything.)The Material: (It's flexible. It fits in my Tesla Model 3 Frunk. It can take a rainstorm, and I'm sure that my stuff stays dry.)The versatility: (Backpack, suitcase, duffle... yup, all there.)I did not like:The smell: (Oh boy! It took quite a while of airing it out before I wanted to put my stuff in there.)Now: Obviously this is not the perfect travel companion for every trip, but I am happy that it is in my arsenal. For the right trip, for the right person, I absolutely recommend this!
