I have a lot of issues with my neck and finding the right pillow is essential for me. The wrong pillow means lots of neck pain and headaches. I'm mostly a side sleeper, but also sleep on my back. I get the "Hi" pillows. These pillows are soft enough that you sink in and relax nicely, but firm enough not to let your neck get out of alignment. BUT, they lose their maximum effectiveness pretty quickly and soften to the point where it's harder to get the neck support. I don't mean they warm up, as Tempurpedic products do, and get too soft, I mean they permanently lose some of their firmness fairly quickly. They're still really good even after that, but a pillow this expensive shouldn't start wearing out a month after you bought it. I can't give them a low rating because after that initial noticeable drop, they hold steady and are still better than any other pillow for my neck problems, but they aren't perfect, and they should be for this price. That said I have four extra ones in my closet because I don't know what I'll do if they stop making them.These are getting harder and harder to find. These are the older model. The new ones are much softer and I think less supportive. I’ve gotten used to a firm pillow. After it heats up a little bit it does get a little softer. I’m a side sleeper so I like the way it holds my neck up. These pillows are on the smaller side so it did take a little while to get used to it. I believe these are the best pillows this company makes aside from their very first contour pillow a decade ago. I bought a few of these just to stock up because I know eventually they will be unavailable. Once you get used to this pillow unfortunately every other pillow feels uncomfortable. So don’t just buy one.I really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews I love my pillow. I'm a side sleeper and a really hot sleeper so I regularly wake up with sweat on my face and I've always had to have like one and half pillows one regular pillow and one flat pillow because I've never had one pillow that worked for me. At least until I found this pillow this is the only pillow I've found that is actually a cooling pillow and keeps it's cooling for most of the night. This is the first time in my life that I can go through the whole night without waking up hot and sweaty and the first time that I wake up in the morning without a neck ache or a headache. For me this is truly a miracle pillow! The only real downside is the price it's a great pillow but I don't care how great it is no pillow is worth $200! Luckily they go on sale often and if you are a savvy enough shopper you can find one for around $90-$100. The only other small thing and it's really minor is I think that it's just a tad too firm but not enough for it to be a deal breaker. One of the many pillows I tested was the TEMPUR-ProForm + Cooling ProHi Pillow that pillow was just the right amount of support but despite its name it wasn't a cooling pillow but luckily I found this one and overall it's a truly wonderful pillow and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who sleeps hot or has a hard time finding just one pillow with enough support.This pillow offers the best support for my head and neck as a side sleeper. Unlike others, my head does not sink to the mattress. It offers the firmness and density I was looking for. It is the heaviest pillow I have ever had.Like many, I am on the quest to find the "perfect" pillow. First night's sleep on it last night. Going to take a few days, or week, to really test. I am a side/back combo sleeper, plus a hot sleeper, so looking for a cooling pillow that gives support, but too much. I will say that it is heavier than any other pillow I've ever had (maybe a good thing, means well-made and good support?). I am skipping my weight work-out at the gym today; figured I could stay home and just do curls and lifts with this pillow instead. Hoping this one works out so I don't have to order a 5th, 6th or 7th pillow.There were no problems with delivery. However, when I opened my box the tempur pedic box on the inside of the amazon box was retaped and the plastic was ripped from the pillow. The pillow is in excellent condition though. I didn’t receive any paperwork with the pillow at all. Nor any information pertaining to the 5 year warranty.I am only 180 lb, 5’11’’ and this pillow is way too flat to provide support in any sleeping position. Nice material, but not enough. I sleep side, stomach, and back. Not one of those positions maintains support or comfort. I wish I had bought the medium pillowThis pillow is the hottest pillow I have ever used wouldn't buy it againIf your reading this you might be considering spending a lot of money on what promises to be a perfect answer to a few issues..so here are my thoughts after 3 weeks of use..Firstly, this was sold as a cooling pillow.. does it work? Yes, I used to wake several times a night turning pillow over, changing pillows and waking up very hot, in the summer my pillow was like a wet sponge, disgusting.. Now I lay on my pillow and the gel pad spreads the heat away from my head, its such a large pillow that if my section gets hot I can move across and find a cool section... I sometimes turn pillow over and there is always a nice cool side on the reverse as heat hasn't gone right through..When pillow was delivered it came out of a cold van, and that night the coolness was amazing, however after that I found the gel simply returns to room temperature during the day, so it depends how warm your bedroom is as to the starting point of the heat.. next summer I will chuck the pillow into a chest freezer for a few hours before bed.. So to conclude the heat bit, for me it is much much better..I have tried everything out there and this has worked the best.Next... neck support.. it is minimal, the support is from where the head makes a dip in the pillow and then the pillow makes contact with the neck, it does NOT push up at the edge pushing onto the neck for support.. as mainly a side sleeper I have had a better pillow which was a sort of U shape.. that was a memory foam but it was very very hot.. I have slept on my back with this pillow and found the it very comfortable, as a side sleeper not as good, I have had to lower the pillow in my bed away from the headboard and slept with my shoulder ON the pillow, this for me was a comfortable position..other points.Smell, very slight nothing awful or strong, a bit like that new car smell... I unzipped and washed the cover and the slight smell wasn't noticeable.Size, this pillow is HUGE, two of these would go across a king size bed with no gap... my standard pillow cases wouldn't fit, so I bought a pair of Super King Oxford Edge Pillow Cases from Amazon for just under £30 and they fitted perfectly.Weight & Firmness, VERY heavy, VERY hard..you sink into it and it shapes to your head, it doesn't move..To conclude.. it took about a week to get used to it and it's a much improved pillow for me, but not perfect.. I'm still to find the holy grail of cool and support which may never happen, but this is as close as I have found..it has certainly sorted out my night sweats and I am now getting a full nights sleep for the first time in years, so it has been well worth the money..
