I will punch the next maker of sub-par toiletry kits for men, but for this one I salute Dakine! Here's the thing, a toiletry kit must fit the 3 men's essentials to start: full sized deodorant, normal soap in compact square carry dish, and decent sized travel shave gel. Check. Next a decent sized toothpaste tube and normal tooth brush. Check. Next is the razor handle and a few heads. Check. And some floss or floss heads. Check. Now you have about 3 weeks of modern living supplies. For upkeep, add the travel bandaid plastic container, travel box of q-tips, small Neosporin, small tweezers and cuticle scissors, small nail clippers, micro-light, and tiny travel Vaseline, and maybe a hotel sewing kit for buttons, and you've got most of it.Now, you still have room for some more odds and end of your personal choosing, and 2-3 bottles the size of the deodorant and shaving cream for shampoo or travel contact supplies. ...that's everything.I use a separate clear sided Sea to Summit small bag/pouch for meds it actually squeezes in there on top and it all zips up.This is a pretty great travel kit for a man. I could live out of it. I keep it locked and loaded to grab, for a weekend or long trip. It fits full to medium sized core items so you can go forever with the basics. It is made from a hearty nylon and comes in various stylish patterns. It tosses into a duffel bag or suitcase well, but it's too big and hearty for the ultralight backpacker. It's made for modern travel and not as much for the outdoors. It's organized like this....9inch wide by 8.5inch tall by 3-4inch deep cube, with a carry handle, unzips and opens like a lid. There is an el-cheapo, plastic hook on top, below that a flat 6inch by 3.5inch clear zip pouch for small, flat odds and ends. Below that is a 6.5 by 2.5 inch mesh zip pocket for more smallish items.Below that is the main compartment... with 3 elastic pockets that will hold items the size of a full deodorant. Behind and slightly above the mesh pockets is a small, shallow zip pocket for some very small items. In front of the mesh pockets extending below is a big dump-area that will hold another 4 deodorant sized bottles, soap dish etc. Good for soap, shampoo travel bottles, and liquid supplies.Lastly in front of that is a 7inch by 3 inch larger zip area that holds bigger odds and ends. There's enough room if you pack it moderately, to add you own small removable bag for meds on top before you zip it up.Overall it's one of the best men's toiltry kits I've seen. Hearty in construction, stylish, not too small for the average traveler. Enough pockets to keep organized. Can hold the basics for a long voyage.See the pics for scale.....
