I wear size 34 to 35 pants. I bought the 38" belt. Of the 7 holes in the belt, the buckle pin goes through the middle hole, 3 holes on each side of it. The excess tongue length from the buckle pin to the tip is 6 1/2". My personal preference would be to have a little more length on the tongue side but this is neat and long enough. Definitely built in the SA. (I'm not using the U for united anymore.) The leather is thick! It fits through my Levi's' belt loops but not my one pair of Wrangler shorts' loops. It does fit on other pairs of my Wrangler shorts. With 20 bills in it, I'm skeptical about it fitting through my Levi's' loops. I had another money belt, long ago, and it turned round when it was stuffed full of bills, like a rope. This leather is thick, like a horse harness and I doubt it will distort in shape.
