I bought this as the companion to my doggy car seat. It attaches as intended, but the wire is flimsy and I just find it to be an item that will not stand the test of time. If you occasionally take your dog on a road trip, this may work for you, but I don't think I will use it very frequently. The containers fit the frame perfectly as intended and the lids seal tight. It would have been nice if they were secured to the frame in some way as well as then can slip out if bumped.
